We were delighted when we chose this Inn for an annual girl's weekend. The location allowed us to walk to ecclectic botique's downtown. We enjoyed the history of the Inn, the architecture, the warmth of the dining room, and lovely grounds. Dana and Chris are lovely hosts. The opened up their dining room to us and provided everything for us to enjoy our home cooked prepared meal that we brought. On the next evening, they provided a nice ...ortment of finger foods for a happy hour that met all of our dietary restrictions/requests. They were wonderful conversationali sts, world travelers in their endeavors to locate the perfect Inn. Chris went "over the top" and carried all of our luggage to the third floor and back. If you are a dog lover, you will enjoy Belvedere's warm eyes and social dispostion. Would stay again for sure!

This was a wonderful location for an annual weekend with life long girl friends. Enjoyed the history of the Inn, the architecture, the walk to unique botique's downtown. But most of all the hospitality from Chris and Dana. They opened their dining room with lovely ambiance, and provided everything we needed to enjoy the dinner that we prepared. They also provided us a wonderful happy hour our next night with a delightful ...ortment of items that met out dietary restrictions. Chris and Dana were great conversationali sts, world travelers, and in tune with their guests needs. Chris even went over the top and delivered all our overly stuffed weekend luggage to our room and back to the car. If you love dogs, Belvedere will warm your heart with his warm eyes and social disposition. I consider myself a B&B/Inn traveler, and would highly recommend this Inn.

My pinochle girlfriends and I stayed in the lovely top floor suite sometime ago. Your website and blog are delightful! Looking forward to a revisit. The lemon ricotta pancakes make me drool.

We weren't sure if a B&B was appropriate for us (4 year old included) but Dana and Chris and their big black dog made us feel genuinely welcomed. The Friends and Family Suite was perfect for us - roomier than a hotel, lots of privacy and a few neat surprises for children. Breakfast was delicious for all of us. Enjoyed the walk to local Italian restaurant. If you have kids and want something different - consider the Stuart Avenue. We weren't sorry.

Our stay at the Stuart Avenue was wonderful. Clean rooms, comfy beds, dynamite breakfast, friendly innkeepers, great value. What more could you ask for in a B&B?? Thank you Chris, Dana and the wonderful Belvedere!! We'll be back!!!

To Belvedere, Buddy and their humans at the Stuart Ave. Inn. You're off to a wonderful start! You're naturals. Thank you.

“Stuart Ave”, an 1880’s era Victorian mansion, was simply a terrific find when recently visiting Kalamazoo. The new (July 2009) innkeepers are enthusiastic. The inn provides a charming dining area overlooking the grounds and we were encouraged to stroll or relax in the gardens at leisure. A delicious breakfast was presented, including made-to-order hot dishes, something not usually found in B&B inns. Each evening, complimentary ice cream bars were offered. While nearby dining and the downtown area is comfortably reached on foot, great golf facilities, outstanding restaurants and cultural activities are within a short driving distance. If looking for an intimate stay in a less formal, more relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, The Stuart Avenue Inn is definitely worth checking. We would stay again and are looking forward to the planned improvements.
